🌀HSC Second Paper এ Synonym and Antonym অনেক ছাত্র ছাত্রীর কাছে কিছুটা জটিল (tricky) একটি বিষয়। তবে একটু প্রাকটিস করলে এবং নিজের শব্দের অর্থ জানার পরিধি একটু বাড়ালে Synonym and Antonym থেকে খুব সহজে ই উত্তর করা যায়। Synonym and Antonym সাধারণত ১১ নম্বর প্রশ্নে আসে।

Synonym and Antonym কীভাবে খুব সহজে লেখা যায় তা শেখনোর জন্য আজ Hopeland এর পক্ষ থেকে আমি নূরে আলম সকলকে শুভেচ্ছা জানাচ্ছি।

Read the passage and then write the antonym or synonym of the words as directed below:

💦A (group) of employees was working in a software company. It was team of 30 employees. This was a young, energetic and (dynamic) team with keen (enthusiasm) and desire to learn and (grow). The management decided to teach the employees about finding real solution to the problems. The team was called to play a game in a (banquet) hall. The group was quite surprised as they were called for playing game. All reached the venue holding various thoughts. As they (entered) the hall, the found the hall (decorated) beautifully with colourful decorative papers and balloons all over the place. It was more like a kid’s play area, than a corporate meeting hall. Everyone was surprised and (gazed) at each other. Also, there was huge box balloons placed at the (center) of the hall.

Synonym শব্দের অর্থ সমর্থক শব্দ বা Similar word। একইভাবে Antonym শব্দের অর্থ বিপরীত শব্দ বা Opposite word। এই প্রশ্নে একজন শিক্ষার্থীর কাজ হচ্ছে মূল Passage এ Underlined করে দেয়া শব্দগুলোকে ব্রাকেটে দেখানো নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তন করা।

কিভাবে Synonyms and Antonyms করবো?

Synonyms and Antonyms প্রশ্নে উত্তর করার জন্য তোমাকে এর কিছু নির্ধারিত নিয়ম জানতে হবে। নিয়মগুলো জানলে এই টপিকটি তোমার জন্য আরো সহজ হবে। তাহলে চলো, এবার আমরা উপরের প্রশ্নটি সমাধান করার জন্য নিচে দেয়া নিয়মগুলো অনুসরণ করি।

সর্বপ্রথম পুরো অনুচ্ছেদটি পড়ে অর্থ বোঝার চেষ্টা করো।

আন্ডারলাইন করা শব্দগুলোর অর্থ খুঁজে বের করো এবং উক্ত শব্দগুলো কোন Part of Speech, সেটা বোঝার চেষ্টা করো।

শব্দগুলো সিরিয়াল অনুযায়ী খাতায় লিখো এবং সমান অথবা হাইফেন (=/-) চিহ্ন দিয়ে প্রশ্নের নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী (Synonym/ Antonym) শব্দ তার সামনে লিখো।

মূল প্রশ্নের শব্দটি কোন Part of Speechদেয়া আছে, তোমার উত্তরটিও ঠিক সেই Part of Speech লিখবে। অর্থাৎ প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত শব্দটি যদি Noun হয়, তাহলে তুমিও উত্তরে Noun লিখবে। ঠিক একইভাবে প্রশ্নে Adjective অথবা Verb থাকলে তুমিও যথাক্রমে Adjective অথবা Verb এর মাধ্যমে উত্তর দেবে।

Antonym শব্দ লেখার সময় Prefix পরিহার করো এবং এমন পৃথক (Unique) শব্দ ব্যবহার করো যা মৌলিকভাবে বিপরীত অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।

একই শব্দের একাধিক উত্তর হতে পারে। তবে তুমি পছন্দনীয় এবং সর্বাধিক গ্রহণযোগ্য যেকোন একটি শব্দ লিখবে।

পরীক্ষার খাতায় কখনোই একটি শব্দের উত্তরে একের অধিক উত্তর (Alternative Answer) লিখবে না।

উপরে দেয়া নিয়মগুলো অনুসরণ করে তোমার উত্তরটি ঝটপট খাতায় লিখে ফেলো। আর তারপরে নিচে দেয়া উত্তরমালার সাথে তোমার লেখা উত্তরটি মিলিয়ে নাও। এখানে খেয়াল রাখবে যে, নিচে দেয়া উত্তরগুলো তোমার লেখা উত্তরের সাথে হুবহু নাও মিলতে পারে। তবে অর্থগতভাবে যদি তোমার সাথে মিলে যায়, তাহলে বুঝবে, তুমি সঠিক লিখেছো।

Answer:

(a) group – individual/separate

(b) dynamic – inactive/lethargic

(c) enthusiasm – eagerness/earnestness

(d) grow – compress/shrink

(e) real – artificial/fake

(f) banquet – dinner/feast

(g) entered – exited/came out

(h) decorated – adorned/embellished

(i) gazed – stared/looked

(j) center – midpoint/core

এখানে মনে রাখবে যে, উপরে উল্লেখিত উত্তরে কিছু শব্দে একের অধিক উত্তর লেখা হয়েছে। তবে এটা কেবলই অর্থ জানার জন্য। পরীক্ষার খাতায় একের অধিক উত্তর পুরোপুরিভাবে বর্জন করতে হবে।
