How to greet and bids farewell (কিভাবে শুভেচ্ছা বিনিময় ও বিদায় জানাতে হয়)

Good morning/afternoon/evening. সুপ্রভাত/সুপ্রভাত/শুভ সন্ধ্যা।

Hello, how are you? হ্যালো, আপনার কেমন আছেন?

I'm fine, thank you. আমি ভালো আছি, ধন্যবাদ।

And you? আর আপনি?

Nice to meet you. আপনাকে দেখে খুশি হলাম।

Nice to meet you too. আমিও খুশি হলাম।

Bidding farewell (বিদায় জানানো):

See you later. পরে দেখা হবে।

See you tomorrow. কাল দেখা হবে।

Goodbye/ bye. বিদায়।

Take care. সাবধানে থাকুন।

Expressing Gratitude: (ধন্যবাদজ্ঞাপন/ কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ)

Thank you. ধন্যবাদ।

Making Requests: (অনুরোধ করা)

Excuse me, ...? দুঃখিত, ...?

I'm sorry to bother you, but... আপনাকে বিরক্ত করার জন্য দুঃখিত, কিন্তু...

Giving Instructions (নির্দেশনা)

Go straight ahead. সোজা যান।

Turn left/right. বামে/ডানে ঘুরুন।

Take the first/second street on the left/right. বাম/ডান দিকের প্রথম/দ্বিতীয় রাস্তাটি নিন।

It's on the corner of... এটি ... এর কোণায়।

It's across from... এটি ... এর বিপরীতে।

Asking for Information (তথ্য জানতে চাওয়া)

What time is it? এখন কতটা বাজে?

Where is the...? ... কোথায়?

How much does it cost? এর দাম কত?

Do you have...? আপনার কি আছে...?

Can I help you? আমি কি আপনাকে সাহায্য করতে পারি?

Expressing Opinions: (মতামত প্রকাশ):

I think... আমার মনে হয়...

I believe... আমি বিশ্বাস করি...

In my opinion... আমার মতে...

I agree. আমি একমত।

I disagree. আমি একমত নই।

Making Suggestions (প্রস্তাব মূলক)

Let's go... চলুন যাই...

Why don't we...? আমরা কেন ... না করি?

How about...? কিভাবে হবে...?

I suggest... আমি পরামর্শ দিচ্ছি...

Apologizing (ক্ষমা/ দুঃখপ্রকাশ)

Expressing Feelings (অনুভূতি প্রকাশ)

I'm happy. আমি খুশি।

I'm sad. আমি দুঃখী।

I'm tired. আমি ক্লান্ত।

I'm hungry. আমি ক্ষুধার্ত।

I'm thirsty. আমি তৃষ্ণার্ত।

Asking for Permission (অনুমতি চাওয়া):

Can I...? আমি কি...?

May I...? আমি কি...?

Is it okay if I...? আমি যদি ... করি তাহলে কি ঠিক আছে?

Do you mind if I...? আপনি কি মনে করবেন না যদি আমি ...?

Would it be alright if I...? আমি যদি ... করি তাহলে কি ঠিক থাকবে?

Making Comparisons: (তুলনা করা)

This is bigger/smaller than that. এটি সেটির চেয়ে বড়/ছোট।

This is more/less expensive than that. এটি সেটির চেয়ে বেশি/কম দামি।

This is better/worse than that. এটি সেটির চেয়ে ভালো/খারাপ।

This is the same as that. এটি সেটির 

Expressing Uncertainty

I'm not sure. আমি নিশ্চিত নই।

I don't know. আমি জানি না।

I'm not certain. আমি নিশ্চিত নই।

I think so. আমার মনে হয় হ্যাঁ।

I'm not sure about that. আমি সে বিষয়ে নিশ্চিত নই।

Giving Advice (উপদেশ প্রদান):

You should... আপনার উচিত...

You ought to... আপনার উচিত...

I recommend... আমি সুপারিশ করছি...

Why don't you...? আপনি কেন ... না করেন?

It's a good idea to... ... করা ভালো ধারণা।

Expressing Agreement/

Disagreement: (সম্মতি ও অসম্মতি প্রকাশ)

I agree. আমি একমত।

I disagree. আমি একমত নই।

I think so too. আমিও তাই মনে করি।

I don't think so. আমার মনে হয় না।

That's right. ঠিক আছে।

Asking for Repetition

I beg your pardon? কি বললেন?

Could you say that again, please? আপনি কি আবার বলবেন ?
