Tense in Bangla


 1. Simple present/ present indefinite tense: āϏে āϏাāϧাāϰāĻŖāϤ āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞেāĻ–ে। He usually writes poems.


2. Present continuous/ Present progressive tense: āϏে āĻāĻ–āύ āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–āĻ›ে।  He is writing poems now.


3. Present perfect tense: āϏে āĻāχāĻŽাāϤ্āϰ āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–েāĻ›ে। He has  written poems just now. 


4. Present perfect continuous/ Present perfect progressive tense: āϏে āϏāĻ•াāϞ āĻĨেāĻ•ে āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–āĻ›ে।  He has been writing poems since morning.


5. Simple past/ Past indefinite tense: āϏে āĻ—āϤāĻ•াāϞ āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–েāĻ›িāϞো। He wrote poems yesterday.


6. Past continuous/ Past progressive tense: āϏে āĻ—āϤ āϏāĻĒ্āϤাāĻšে āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–āĻ›িāϞো। He was writing poems last week.


7. Past perfect tense: āϤুāĻŽি āĻ…āĻĢিāϏে āϝাāĻ“āϝ়াāϰ āĻĒূāϰ্āĻŦে āϏে āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–েāĻ›িāϞো। He had written poems before you went to office.


8. Past perfect continuous/ Past perfect progressive tense:  āϏে āĻŦিāĻ—āϤ āĻ•āϝ়েāĻ• āĻŦāĻ›āϰ āϝাāĻŦā§Ž āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–āĻ›িāϞো। He had been writing poems for the last few years.


9. Simple future/ Future indefinite tense: āϏে āφāĻ—াāĻŽীāĻ•াāϞ āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–āĻŦে।  He will write poems tomorrow.


10. Future continuous/ Future progressive tense: āϏে āφāϜ āϰাāϤে āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–āϤে āĻĨাāĻ•āĻŦে।  He will be writing poems tonight 


11. Future perfect tense: āϏে āφāĻ—াāĻŽী āĻ•াāϞেāϰ āĻŽāϧ্āϝে āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–ে āϰাāĻ–āĻŦে। He will have written poems by tomorrow.


12. Future perfect continuous/ Future perfect progressive tense: āϏে āφāĻ—াāĻŽী āĻ•āϝ়েāĻ•āĻŦāĻ›āϰ āϝাāĻŦā§Ž āĻ•āĻŦিāϤা āϞিāĻ–āϤে āĻĨাāĻ•āĻŦে। He will have been writing poems for the next few years.
