Essay

 An essay is a short piece of writing on a specific topic. It expresses the writer's thoughts, ideas, or arguments in a clear and organized way. Essays can be formal or informal, depending on the purpose and audience.


Types of Essays:


1. Narrative Essay – Tells a story with a beginning, middle, and end. (e.g., "My Best Vacation")



2. Descriptive Essay – Describes a person, place, or thing in detail. (e.g., "A Beautiful Sunset")



3. Expository Essay – Explains a topic with facts and information. (e.g., "How Plants Grow")



4. Persuasive Essay – Tries to convince the reader of a viewpoint. (e.g., "Why Reading is Important")



5. Argumentative Essay – Presents arguments for and against a topic with evidence. (e.g., "Should School Uniforms Be Mandatory?")



6. Compare and Contrast Essay – Shows similarities and differences between two subjects. (e.g., "City Life vs. Village Life")
