Conditional Sentences Rules:

1. If āϝুāĻ•্āϤ Clause āĻāϰ Verb Present Tense āĻšāϞে, āĻĒāϰāĻŦāϰ্āϤী Clause-āĻ Sub+ will/can/may+ Verb1+ Ext.


a) If I have time, I will go to the party

 Or, If I have time, I can go to the party.

Or, If I have time, I may go to the party.

If you study hard, you will pass the exam.

Or, If you study hard, you can pass the exam.

Or, If you study hard, you may pass the exam.



2. If āϝুāĻ•্āϤ Clause āĻāϰ Verb Past Tense āĻšāϞে, āĻĒāϰāĻŦāϰ্āϤী Clause-āĻ Sub+ would/could/might+ Verb1+ Ext.


a) If I had time, I would go to your party.

Or, If I had time, I could go to your party.

Or, If I had time, I might go to your party.


More Example: If I studied hard, I would get a job.

Or, If I studied hard, I could get a job

Or, If I studied hard, I might get a job

If I studied hard, I would get a job-āφāĻŽি āϝāĻĻি āĻ­াāϞāĻ­াāĻŦে āĻĒ⧜াāĻļুāύা āĻ•āϰāϤাāĻŽ āϤাāĻšāϞে āĻāĻ•āϟা āϚাāĻ•ুāϰী āĻĒেāϤাāĻŽ। 


3. If āϝুāĻ•্āϤ Clause āĻāϰ Verb Past Perfect Tense āĻšāϞে, āĻĒāϰāĻŦāϰ্āϤী Clause-āĻ Sub+ would have/could have/might have+ Verb3+ Extension 


• If āϝুāĻ•্āϤ Clause āĻāϰ Verb Past Perfect Tense āĻšāϞে, āĻĒāϰāĻŦāϰ্āϤী Clause-āĻ Sub+ would have/could have/might have+ Verb3+ Ext.


Example:If I had heard your sickness, I would have visited you.

Or, If I had heard your sickness, I could have visited you.

Or, If I had heard your sickness, I might have visited you


More Examples:If I had known your address, I could have written you a letter.

Or, If they had invited me, I might have gone to the party.

Or, If you had fallen down from the tree, you would have hurt yourself.

Zero conditional:


If + present simple, present simple.


Examples:


1. If you heat water to 100°C, it boils.



2. If you touch fire, it burns.



3. If it rains, the ground gets wet.



4. If you mix red and blue, you get purple.



5. If the sun sets, it gets dark.



6. If you don't water plants, they die.



7. If you freeze water, it turns into ice.



8. If you press the switch, the light turns on.



9. If babies are hungry, they cry.



10. If you eat too much, you feel full.
