 Rule No 1

Pronoun āĻ¸āĻŦāĻ¸āĻŽāĻ¯় āĻ¤াāĻ° āĻ†āĻ—েāĻ° Noun āĻŸিāĻ° Number āĻ…āĻ¨ুāĻ¯াāĻ¯়ী āĻŦāĻ¸āĻŦে।

Incorrect: Everyone is trying their best to win the match

āĻāĻ–াāĻ¨ে “their” – Pronoun āĻŸিāĻ° āĻ†āĻ—ে āĻŦāĻ¸া Noun āĻŸি āĻšāĻ˛ো Every one, āĻ¯া āĻāĻ•āĻŸি Singular word। āĻ¤াāĻ‡ āĻ‰āĻĒāĻ°েāĻ° Sentence āĻ “their” āĻāĻ° āĻĒāĻ°িāĻŦāĻ°্āĻ¤ে “his/her” āĻŦāĻ¸āĻŦে।

Correct: Everyone is trying his best to win the match.

 Rule No 2

Pronoun āĻ¸āĻŦāĻ¸āĻŽāĻ¯় āĻ¤াāĻ° āĻ†āĻ—েāĻ° Noun āĻŸিāĻ° Person āĻ…āĻ¨ুāĻ¯াāĻ¯়ী āĻŦāĻ¸āĻŦে।

Incorrect: If you want to maintain good health, we must walk in the morning.

Sentence āĻŸি Incorrect. āĻ•েāĻ¨āĻ¨া Pronoun āĻāĻ° āĻ†āĻ—েāĻ° Noun āĻŸি āĻšāĻ˛ো 2nd person. āĻ¤াāĻ‡ Pronoun āĻšিāĻ¸েāĻŦে “we” āĻāĻ° āĻĒāĻ°িāĻŦāĻ°্āĻ¤ে “You” āĻŦāĻ¸āĻŦে।

 (3)āĻ•িāĻ¨্āĻ¤ু, “Which/that” āĻļāĻ¨্āĻĻāĻ—ুāĻ˛ো āĻ¯āĻ–āĻ¨ Relative Pronoun āĻšিāĻ¸েāĻŦে āĻŦ্āĻ¯াāĻŦāĻšাāĻ° āĻšāĻ¯় āĻ¤āĻ–āĻ¨ āĻ¤া āĻ•োāĻ¨ āĻŦāĻ¸্āĻ¤ু/āĻĒ্āĻ°াāĻ¨ীāĻ•ে āĻ¨িāĻ°্āĻĻেāĻļ āĻ•āĻ°ে।

Incorrect: Doel is a beautiful bird who is also the national bird of Bangladesh.

Correct: Doel is a beautiful bird which/that is also the national bird of Bangladesh.

āĻĻুāĻŸি Singular Noun āĻ¯āĻĻি “and” āĻĻ্āĻŦাāĻ°া āĻ¯ুāĻ•্āĻ¤ āĻĨাāĻ•ে āĻ¤āĻŦে āĻ¤াāĻĻেāĻ° āĻĒāĻ°িāĻŦāĻ°্āĻ¤ে āĻ¯ে Pronoun āĻŸি āĻŦ্āĻ¯āĻŦāĻšাāĻ° āĻšāĻ¯় āĻ¤া Plural āĻšāĻŦে।

Incorrect: Sourav & Ridwan are very serious about his studies.

Correct: Sourav & Ridwan are very serious about their studies.

āĻ•িāĻ¨্āĻ¤ু, “and” āĻĻ্āĻŦাāĻ°া āĻ¯ুāĻ•্āĻ¤ āĻĻুāĻŸি Singular noun āĻāĻ° āĻĒূāĻ°্āĻŦে āĻ¯āĻĻি “Every/Each” āĻļāĻŦ্āĻĻāĻ—ুāĻ˛ো āĻĨাāĻ•ে āĻ¤āĻŦে āĻāĻĻেāĻ° āĻĒāĻ°িāĻŦāĻ°্āĻ¤ে āĻŦ্āĻ¯āĻŦāĻšাāĻ° āĻ•āĻ°া Pronoun āĻŸি Singular āĻšāĻŦে।

Incorrect: Every Doctor & every Nurse should do their duty.

Correct: Every Doctor & every Nurse should do his duties.

āĻĻুāĻŸি Singular Noun āĻ¯āĻĻি Either….or āĻŦা Neither …nor āĻŦা or āĻĻ্āĻŦাāĻ°া āĻ¯ুāĻ•্āĻ¤ āĻĨাāĻ•ে āĻ¤āĻŦে āĻāĻĻেāĻ° āĻĒāĻ°িāĻŦāĻ°্āĻ¤ে Singular Noun āĻŦ্āĻ¯āĻŦāĻšাāĻ° āĻšāĻŦে ।

Incorrect: Either Murphy or Pena will complete their mission

Correct: Either Murphy or Pena will complete his mission

āĻ•িāĻ¨্āĻ¤ু, āĻāĻ•āĻŸি Singular Noun āĻ“ āĻāĻ•āĻŸি Plural āĻ¯āĻĻি nor āĻŦা or āĻĻ্āĻŦাāĻ°া āĻ¯ুāĻ•্āĻ¤ āĻĨাāĻ•ে āĻ¤āĻŦে āĻāĻĻেāĻ° āĻĒāĻ°িāĻŦāĻ°্āĻ¤ে Plural Noun āĻŦ্āĻ¯āĻŦāĻšাāĻ° āĻšāĻŦে ।
