Noun and its classification:


āϝে āϏāĻ•āϞ word āĻĻ্āĻŦাāϰা āĻŦ্āϝāĻ•্āϤি, āĻŦāϏ্āϤু, āĻĒ্āϰাāĻŖী, āϜা⧟āĻ—া, āĻĒāĻĻাāϰ্āĻĨ, āĻ•োāύো āĻ•িāĻ›ুāϰ āĻ…āĻŦāϏ্āĻĨা āĻŦা āĻ—ুāĻŖেāϰ āύাāĻŽ āĻŦোāĻা⧟, āϤাāĻ•ে Noun āĻŦāϞে। āϝāĻĨা: Amreen, book, cat, Dhaka, honesty etc. 


Definition: Nouns are words used to identify people, places, things, and ideas. 

In short, naming words are called nouns.


Classification of nouns: Noun āĻ•āϤ āĻĒ্āϰāĻ•াāϰ?

Concrete Noun:

āϝে Noun-āĻ—ুāϞো āϚোāĻ–ে āĻĻেāĻ–া āϝা⧟, āϏ্āĻĒāϰ্āĻļ āĻ•āϰা āϝা⧟, āϝাāĻĻেāϰ āĻļাāϰীāϰিāĻ• āωāĻĒāϏ্āĻĨিāϤি āφāĻ›ে, āϏেāĻ—ুāϞোāĻ•ে Concrete Noun āĻŦāϞা āĻšā§Ÿ। āϝেāĻŽāύ, 

Zarif is reading a book. 

Diamond is a precious metal.

Proper Noun:

āϝে Noun āĻĻ্āĻŦাāϰা āύিāϰ্āĻĻিāώ্āϟ āĻŦ্āϝāĻ•্āϤি, āĻŦāϏ্āϤু āĻŦা āϏ্āĻĨাāύেāϰ āύাāĻŽ āĻŦোāĻা⧟, āϤাāĻ•ে Proper Noun āĻŦāϞে। Proper Noun always starts with capital letter. 

āϝেāĻŽāύ:  Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh.

William Shakespeare wrote Romeo and Juliet.

āĻŦাāĻ•্āϝāĻĻ্āĻŦ⧟ে Dhaka, Bangladesh,  William Shakespeare, Romeo   Juliet āĻļāĻŦ্āĻĻāĻ—ুāϞো āĻšāϞো Proper Noun.


Common Noun:

āĻ•োāύ Noun āϝāĻ–āύ āĻāĻ•āχ āϜাāϤী⧟ āϏāĻ•āϞ āĻŦ্āϝāĻ•্āϤি āĻŦা āĻŦāϏ্āϤুāϰ āĻ•োāύো āϏাāϧাāϰāĻŖ āύাāĻŽ āĻŦোāĻা⧟, āϤāĻ–āύ āϤাāĻ•ে Common Noun āĻŦāϞে। āϝেāĻŽāύ:

I know a boy who is excessively brilliant.

Einstein is a great scientist.

Collective Noun:

āϝে Noun āĻĻ্āĻŦাāϰা āĻāĻ• āϜাāϤী⧟ āĻ•āϤāĻ—ুāϞো āĻŦ্āϝāĻ•্āϤি āĻŦা āĻŦāϏ্āϤুāϰ āϏāĻŽāώ্āϟিāĻ•ে āĻŦোāĻা⧟, āϤাāĻ•ে Collective Noun āĻŦāϞা āĻšā§Ÿ। āϝেāĻŽāύ:


The whole class burst into laughter.

Our team is better than yours. 

The police have dispersed the crowd. 

A herd of sheep is grazing in the field.

āĻāĻ–াāύে class, team, police, crowd, herd āĻļāĻŦ্āĻĻāĻ—ুāϞো āĻšāϞো Collective Noun।


Material Noun 

āϝে Noun āĻĻ্āĻŦাāϰা āĻ•োāύো āĻŦāϏ্āϤুāϰ āύাāĻŽ āĻŦোāĻা⧟, āĻ•িāύ্āϤু āĻ—āĻŖāύা āĻ•āϰা āϝা⧟ āύা, āĻļুāϧু āĻĒāϰিāĻŽাāĻĒ āĻ•āϰা āϝা⧟ āϤাāĻ•ে Material Noun āĻŦāϞা āĻšā§Ÿ। āϝāĻĨা:

Sugar is used for sweetmeat.   

Tea is a popular drink. 

We eat rice.

āĻāĻ–াāύে sugar, tea, rice āĻļāĻŦ্āĻĻāĻ—ুāϞো Material Noun।

Countable & Uncountable Noun.


Countable Noun: Count āĻļāĻŦ্āĻĻেāϰ āĻ…āϰ্āĻĨ āĻ—āĻŖāύা āĻ•āϰা। āϝে noun āĻ—ুāϞোāĻ•ে āĻ—āĻŖāύা āĻ•āϰা āϝাāϝ়, āϏেāĻ—ুāϞোāĻ•ে āĻŦāϞা āĻšāϝ় Countable noun. āϝāĻĨা—Book, Pencil, Chair, Cow etc. 

Note: Countable noun ‘ singular ’ āĻāĻŦং ‘ plural ’ āωāĻ­āϝ়āχ āĻšāϤে āĻĒাāϰে।

Uncountable Noun:

āϝে noun āĻ—ুāϞোāĻ•ে āĻ—āĻŖāύা āĻ•āϰা āϝাāϝ় āύা, āϏেāϏāĻŦ noun āĻ•ে āĻŦāϞা āĻšāϝ় Uncountable noun।

Note: Uncountable noun āϏāĻŽূāĻš āϏāϰ্āĻŦāĻĻাāχ Singular āĻšিāϏেāĻŦে āĻŦ্āϝāĻŦāĻšৃāϤ āĻšāϝ়।

A compound noun is a noun that is made up of two or more words. The separate words in a compound noun do not necessarily have to be nouns themselves, but they must communicate a specific person, place, idea, or thing.
