Alliteration

Alliteration is when two or more words that start with the same sound are used repeatedly in a phrase or a sentence.

The repeated sound creates the alliteration, not the same letter. For example, "tasty tacos" is considered an alliteration, but "thirty typists" is not, because 'th' and 'ty' don't have the same sound.

Examples:

1. Four furious friends fought for the phone.

2. She sells seashells by the seashore.

3. Harry hurried home to watch football on TV.

4. Good grief

5. The boy buzzed around.

6. Busy bee

7. Betty bought a bit of butter.

8. Go and gather the green leaves on the grass.

9. Please put away your paints and practice the piano.

10. Bear in There
