 A Day Labourer

A day labour is a person who works all day long for earning his living. He is a common figure in our society. He and his family depend on his daily wages.. He does not have any permanent work. He usually earns his daily living by doing hard work. He gets up early in the morning and goes out in quest of work. He does different types of jobs such as carrying bricks, wood, stones, mud and digging ponds, constructing of roads, buildings etc. He works hard from morning to evening. He gets his wages at the end of the work. Then he goes to bazar to buy his daily necessaries. He has to work hard in various fields. He is always dependent on his employer. When he earns much money, he and his family can eat well. It is a happy day for them. If he does not find any work, he and his family have to go without food. So the life of a day labor is very miserable. Sorrows and sufferings are his constant companions. He does not know what is joy and happiness. He earns his living by working hard. Most of the time he is ill-paid and ill- treated in every sphere of his life. In fact, the services of a day laborer plays an importance role in our national life. So we should think about his rights and show respect to them.

একজন দিন মজুর হলেন এমন ব্যক্তি যিনি সারা দিন জীবন জীবিকা উপার্জনের জন্য কাজ করেন। তিনি আমাদের সমাজের একটি সাধারণ ব্যক্তিত্ব। তিনি এবং তার পরিবার তার প্রতিদিনের আয়ের উপর নির্ভর করে। তার কোনও স্থায়ী কাজ নেই। তিনি সাধারণত কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে নিজের জীবন যাপন করেন। তিনি খুব ভোরে উঠে কাজের সন্ধানে বেরিয়ে যান। তিনি বিভিন্ন ধরণের কাজ যেমন ইট, কাঠ, পাথর, কাদা এবং পুকুর খনন, রাস্তা, ভবন নির্মাণ ইত্যাদি কাজ করেন তিনি সকাল থেকে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত কঠোর পরিশ্রম করেন। কাজ শেষে তিনি তার মজুরি পান। তারপরে তার নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসপত্র কিনতে তিনি বাজারে যান। তাকে বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করতে হয়। তিনি সর্বদা তার নিয়োগকর্তার উপর নির্ভরশীল। যখন তিনি প্রচুর অর্থ উপার্জন করেন, তিনি এবং তাঁর পরিবার ভাল খেতে পারেন। তাদের জন্য এটি একটি আনন্দের দিন। কোনও কাজ না পেলে তাকে এবং তার পরিবারকে অনাহারে যেতে হয়। তাই এক দিনের শ্রমজীবন জীবন অত্যন্ত শোচনীয়। দুঃখ-কষ্ট তাঁর নিত্যসঙ্গী। আনন্দ-সুখ কী তা সে জানে না। তিনি কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে জীবিকা নির্বাহ করেন। বেশিরভাগ সময় তিনি জীবনের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে অ-বেতনভুক্ত ও অসুখী হন। আসলে, একজন দিনমজুরের সেবা আমাদের জাতীয় জীবনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে । সুতরাং আমাদের উচিত তার অধিকার সম্পর্কে চিন্তা করা এবং তাদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা প্রদর্শন করা।
