a) open conditional sentences āĻŦা first conditional sentences :-  āĻļāϰ্āϤ āĻļ্āϰোāϤাāϰ āωāĻĒāϰ āĻ›েāĻĄ়ে āĻĻেāĻ“āϝ় āĻšāϝ়। āϝāĻĻি āϏে āĻļāϰ্āϤ āĻĒূāϰāĻŖ āĻ•āϰে āϤাāĻšāϞে āĻĢāϞ(result) āĻĒাāĻŦে āφāϰ āĻļāϰ্āϤāϟি āĻĒূāϰāĻŖ āύা āĻ•āϰāϞে āĻĢāϞ( result) āĻĒাāĻŦে āύা। 

āωāĻĻাāĻšāϰāĻŖ:- āϝāĻĻি āϤুāĻŽি āĻ­াāϞোāĻ­াāĻŦে āĻĒāĻĄ়াāĻļোāύা āĻ•āϰো, āϤুāĻŽি āĻĒāϰীāĻ•্āώাāϝ় āĻ­াāϞো āĻĢāϞ āĻ•āϰāĻŦে।

Note:- open conditional clause āĻ āĻ…āĻŦāĻļ্āϝāχ present indefinite tense āĻ āĻšāĻŦেāχ। āĻāĻŦং result clause āϟি future indefinite tense āĻ āĻ…āĻŦāĻļ্āϝāχ āĻšāĻŦে।

Structure: If + Simple present+ simple future

Q:- If you…..(go) there, he will help you.

Ans:- āϝেāĻšেāϤু Result Clause āϟি future indefinite tense āφāĻ›ে  āϤাāχ āĻāϟা āĻšāϞো open conditional sentence. āĻāĻŦং open conditional clsuse āϟি āĻ…āĻŦāĻļ্āϝāχ present indefinite āĻšāĻŦে।

If you go there, he will help you. āϝāĻĻি āϤুāĻŽি āϏেāĻ–াāύে āϝাāĻ“, āϏে āϤোāĻŽাāĻ•ে āϏাāĻšাāϝ্āϝ āĻ•āϰāĻŦে।

Variations of open conditional sentences:- open conditional sentences āĻ factual conditional sentences āĻ“ āĻŦāϞা āĻšāϝ়। Factual conditional sentence āĻšāϞ āϏেāĻ—ুāϞি āϝেāĻ—ুāϞিāϤে āĻŦৈāϜ্āĻžাāύিāĻ• āϘāϟāύা āĻĨাāĻ•ে। āφāϰ āĻŦৈāϜ্āĻžাāύিāĻ• āϘāϟāύা āĻĨাāĻ•āϞে āφāĻŽāϰা āĻĻুāϟি Clause āĻ present indefinite tense āĻŦ্āϝāĻŦāĻšাāϰ āĻ•āϰি।

āωāĻĻাāĻšāϰāĻŖ:- āϝāĻĻি āϤুāĻŽি āĻŽাāĻ–āύ āĻ—āϰāĻŽ āĻ•āϰো, āĻŽাāĻ–āύ āĻ—āϞে āϝাāĻŦে।

If you heat butter, it will melt.

āĻŦāϰāĻĢ āϝāĻĻি āĻ—āϰāĻŽ āĻ•āϰা āĻšāϝ় āĻ—āϞে āϝাāϝ়।

If ice is heated, it will melt.

Note:- factual conditional sentences āĻ•ে zero conditional sentence āĻ“ āĻŦāϞা āĻšāϝ়।

Q:- If you…..( need) money, send me a cable.

Ans:- if you need money, inform me.

If he comes, I will go.

āĻāĻ–াāύে conditional clause if it doesn’t rain āĻāϰ verb rain V1 form āĻ āφāĻ›ে। āϤাāχ Result/main clause āĻ will +V1 āĻšāĻŦে।

Ans:-Our crop will fail if it doesn’t rain.  āĻŦৃāώ্āϟি āύা āĻĒāϰāϞে āĻĢāϏāϞ āĻ–াāϰাāĻĒ āĻšāϝ়ে āϝাāĻŦে।
