সময়ের সমষ্টিই জীবন। ইংরেজীতে বিভিন্ন পরিস্থিতিতে আমাদেরকে সময় জেনে নিতে হয়। অথচ এ সাধারণ জিজ্ঞাসা ও উত্তর দিতে গিয়ে অনেকেই ভ্যাবাচ্যাকা(confused) খেয়ে যায়।

আসুন সঠিকভাবে শিখি Let's learn accurately!

এখন কয়টা বাজে? What time is it now?/ Time please.

এখন সোয়া দুইটা বাজে It is quarter past two.

এখন পৌনে তিনটা বাজে It is quarter to three.

তিনটা বেজে পাঁচ মিনিট It is five past three

তিনটা বাজতে পাঁচ মিনিট বাকী It is five minutes to three.

এখন আড়াইটা বাজে It is half past two.

সে আড়াইটার ট্রেনে গিয়েছিল - He went by the 2:30 train

আর কোন সময় নাই। - A few nano seconds are left./ No more time

এই ধাপে ধাতুটি ২০০ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াসে উত্তপ্ত আছে - At this stage the metal is heated to 200 degrees Celsius

আপনি কি দয়া করে আমাকে সময়টা বলতে পারবেন? - Can you tell me the time, please?

দয়া করে আমাকে বলবেন কয়টা বাজে এখন? - Can you tell me what time it is, please?

১২টা বাজে যাওয়ার সময় - Check out is at 12:00 PM

আপনি কি দয়া করে আমাকে সময়টা বলতে পারবেন? - Could you tell me the time please?

আমি নভেম্বরে জন্মগ্রহন করি - I was born on November.

আজকে কি ১২ তারিখ নাকি ১৩ তারিখ? - Is today the 12th or 13th?

প্রায় ১০টা বাজে - It is about 10 o'clock

মাত্রই ৩টা পার হয়ে গেলো - It is just gone three o'clock.

তোমার ঘড়িতে কয়টা বাজে? What is the time by your watch?
