1. What is Adjective Phrase?
👉 An adjective phrase is a group of words that describes a noun (a person, place, or thing).
It tells us more about the noun.
✅ Examples:
1. The house built of wood is very small.
(The phrase built of wood describes the noun house.)
2. She has hair as dark as night.
(The phrase as dark as night describes the noun hair.)
3. The boy with blue eyes is my friend.
(The phrase with blue eyes describes the noun boy.)
2. What is Adverb Phrase?
👉 An adverb phrase is a group of words that tells us more about a verb (action).
It explains how, when, where, or why something happens.
✅ Examples:
1. We met in the park yesterday.
(The phrase in the park yesterday tells where and when we met.)
*Tricks: Adjective Phrase Describes a NOUN → “Which one? What kind?”
Example:
The cat with black stripes → Which cat?
Tricks: Adverb Phrase Describes a VERB → “How? When? Where?”
Example:
He ran very fast → How did he run?
