A collocation is a group of two or more words that are almost always put together to create a specific meaning. There are of 7 types. 


Types of Collocations

adverb + adjective: completely satisfied.

adjective + noun: excruciating pain.

noun + noun: a surge of anger.

noun + verb: lions roar.

verb + noun: commit suicide.

verb + expression with a preposition by its side: burst into tears.

verb + adverb: wave frantically.
