Parts of speech
āĻŦাāĻ্āĻ¯ে āĻŦ্āĻ¯āĻŦāĻšৃāĻ¤ āĻĒ্āĻ°āĻ¤িāĻি āĻļāĻŦ্āĻĻāĻে Parts of Speech āĻŦāĻ˛ে। Each and every word of a sentence is called a part of speech.
For example: Amreen goes to school everyday.
Amreen- Noun
Goes- Verb
To- Preposition
School - Noun
Everyday- Adverb
• āĻংāĻ°েāĻিāĻ¤ে āĻāĻāĻ āĻļāĻŦ্āĻĻ āĻŦাāĻ্āĻ¯ে āĻŦিāĻিāĻ¨্āĻ¨ āĻাāĻŦে āĻŦ্āĻ¯āĻŦāĻšাāĻ°েāĻ° āĻাāĻ°āĻ¨ে āĻিāĻ¨্āĻ¨ āĻিāĻ¨্āĻ¨ Parts of speech āĻšāĻ¯়ে āĻĨাāĻে।
Example:
(I). I work everyday.
*work- verb
(Ii). I have done the work. *Work-noun
(III). I love the working people. *working- adjective
(iv). Working capital is a must to launch a business.
• working- adjective
(v). What does your work schedule look like this week?
• work- adjective
(vi) I am well.
Well- adjective
(vii) I teach well.
Well- adverb
(Viii) He is on.
On- Adverb
(ix) The pen is on the table.
On- Preposition
(Xi) He ran down the stairs.
down - Preposition
(XII) She sat down.
Down- Adverb
(Xiii) He runs fast.
Fast- adverb
(XIV) He is a fast runner.
fast- adjective
1. Noun - A noun is a name a person, place, thing, or idea. Nouns are the subject of a sentence.
Example: Amreen loves beauty.
*Amreen, beauty- Noun
2. Pronoun: A word that stands in for a noun, often to avoid the need to repeat the same noun over and over. Like nouns, pronouns can refer to people, things, concepts, and places. Most sentences contain at least one noun or pronoun.
For example: She is a good girl.
*She- Pronoun
3. Adjective - An adjective is a word that describes a noun or pronoun. It tells what kind, how many, or which one. It is a describing word.
For example: She is beautiful.
She has many friends.
Beautiful - Adjective, Many-Adjective
4. Verb - A verb is a word that expresses an action or a state of being.
Example:
(I). I work everyday.
*work- verb
(Ii). I have done the work. *Work-noun
(III). I love the working people. *working- adjective
(iv). Working capital is a must to launch a business.
• working- adjective
(v). What does your work schedule look like this week?
• work- adjective
5. Adverb - An adverb describes how the action is performed. They tell how much, how often, when and where something is done.
Example: She is a very good girl.
• Very- adverb
She laughs loudly.
• Loudly - adverb
She laughs very loudly
*Very- adverb, loudly- adverb
Come here, go there
• here, there- adverb
Do it now, I was doing the work then.
• Now- adverb, then- adverb
6. Preposition - A preposition is a word that shows position or, direction. Some examples are in, out, under, over, after, out, into, up, down, for, and between.
7. Conjunction - A conjunction is a word that joins words or word groups together. Some examples conjunctions are: and, but, or, nor, although, yet, so, either, and also.
8. Interjection - An interjection is a word that shows strong emotion. Such examples are Wow!, Ouch!, Hurray!, and Oh no!. Interjections can really liven up a sentence. They help to add voice to your writing.
