Traffic jam

 

Traffic jam means the blockage of vehicles in a street where they can neither go forward nor come back. Traffic jam is a long line of vehicles that cannot move or that can only move very slowly because there is so much traffic on the road. Traffic jam is a common phenomenon in the big cities and towns. It is one of the major problems of modern time. The causes of traffic jam are many. In proportion to our population roads have not increased. The roads are all the same.There are many unlicensed vehicles which should be brought under control. The drivers are not willing to obey the traffic rules. They want to drive at their sweet will. Overtaking tendency also causes traffic jam. The number of traffic police is insufficient. At office time traffic jam is intolerable. Sometimes traffic jam is so heavy that it blocks half a kilometre. It kills our valuable time and our work is hampered. It causes great sufferings to the ambulance carrying dying patients and the fire brigade vehicles.However, this problem can be solved by adopting some measures. Well planned spacious roads should be constructed. One way movement of vehicles should be introduced. Traffic rules should be imposed strictly so that the drivers are bound to obey them. Sufficient traffic police should be posted on important points. Unlicensed vehicles should be removed. After doing all these things we can hope to have a good traffic system for our easy and comfortable movement.

*আমরা যখন ইংরেজিতে কথা বলি (Spoken English) বিশেষ করে বর্ণনামূলক (Statement) কিছু বলে থাকি তখন ৩৮ ধরণের বাক্য তথা গঠন (Structure) অনুসরণ করতে হয়, যা নিচে উদাহরণসহ দেয়া হলো।

38 Patterns of Sentences:

1. আমরা যাই - We go. 

(Simple Present Tense)

2. আমরা যাচ্ছি - We are going. (Present Continuous)

3. আমরা গিয়েছি- We have gone. (Present Perfect)

4. আমরা আধাঘণ্টা ধরে যাচ্ছি- We have been going for half an hour. (Present Perfect Continuous)

5. আমরা গিয়েছিলাম- We went. (Simple Past Tense)

6. আমরা যাচ্ছিলাম - We were going. (Past Continuous)

7. আমরা যাওয়ার  আগে সে এসেছিল- He had come before we went. (Past Perfect)

8. আমরা দুইদিন যাবৎ যাচ্ছিলাম- We had been going for two days. (Past Perfect Continuous)

9. আমরা যাব- We will go.

(Simple Future)

10. আমরা যেতে থাকবো- We will be going. (Future Continuous)

11. আমরা আগামীকালের মধ্যে গিয়ে থাকবো - We will have gone by tomorrow. (Future Perfect)

12. আমরা দুইদিন যাবৎ যেতে থাকবো- We will have been going for two days. (Future Perfect Continuous)

13. আমরা যেতে পারি- We can go. ( সামর্থ বুঝাতে)

14. আমরা যেতে পারি - We may go. ( সম্ভাবনা বুঝাতে)

15. আমরা যেতে পারতাম- We could go. ( অতীতের সামর্থ বুঝাতে)

16. আমরা যেতে পারবো- We will be able to go.

17. আমাদের যাওয়া উচিত - We should go./ We ought to go.

18. আমাদের যাওয়া উচিত ছিল- We should have gone.

19. আমাদের যেতে হয়- We are to go.

20. আমাদের যেতে হবে- We have to go.

21. আমাদের যেতে হয়েছিল - We had to go.

22. আমাদের অবশ্যই যেতে হবে- We must go.

23. আমাদের যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা আছে - We are likely to go.

24. আমাদের যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা ছিল- We were likely to go.

25. আমাদের যাওয়ার কথা- We are supposed to go.

26. আমাদের যাওয়ার কথা ছিল - We were supposed to go.

27. আমাদের যেতে ইচ্ছে করছে- We feel like going.

28.  আমাদের যেতে ইচ্ছে করছিলো - We felt like going.

29. আমরা এখনও যাইনি - We are yet to go.

30. আমরা যেতাম - We used to go. ( অতীতকালের অভ্যাস বুঝাতে)/ We would go.

31. আমরা যেতে চাই- We want to go/ We like to go./We 

would like to go. / We wish to go.

32. আমরা কাজটি করতে যাচ্ছি- We are going to do the work.

33. আমাদের যাওয়ার সাহস আছে । We dare go.

34. আমাদের যাওয়া দরকার। We need to go. 

35.  আমরা না গিয়ে পারিনা 

We can't but go.

36. আমরা না গিয়ে পারলাম না।

We couldn't but go.

37. আমাদের ইচ্ছা আমরা যদি যেতে পারতাম

We wish we could go.

38. আমাদের যেতেই হবে

We will have to go.

N.B: Verb এবং Subject পরিবর্তন করে এবং Object যুক্ত করে হাজার হাজার বাক্য তৈরি করা যায়।
